Self-exogenesis Explained

Exogenesis, for those who are unfamiliar with the term, is the hypothesis that life originated elsewhere in the universe and was spread to Earth.

So why can’t that term be used to describe why we are who we are?  In our childhood, parents and authoritative figures help shape us into [potential] contributing members of society.  Once adults, many of us don’t (or won’t) evolve our persona.

Compare that to early Earth – a rocky, moonless, desolate place.  Until life, regardless of its origin, Earth was just another planet.  Without self-exogenesis, one’s doomed to be just another person.  We need the ideas, experiences, wisdom, and perspective of others to constantly evolve ourselves.  To fall short of self-exogenesis, one is doomed to stagnation.
